"The name is so generic that we've been experiencing traffic on the domain for years before we actually decided to build a business model and a site to go with it," says Mike Pratt, the site manager. "Though our marketing campaign is now officially under way, traffic to the site has been admirable, to say the least, from people just 'guessing' there must be a site called 'Golfpackage.com.'"

Local area residents who have registered for the free loyalty program will receive preferred rates immediately and will earn points for each round played as well as for golf shop and food/beverage purchases. Reward points accrue to earn CrownRewards certificates, which can be redeemed for free golf or 50%-off golf rates at participating Crown Golf courses. CrownClub members will also receive special offers and invitations to member-only events and tournaments.

CrownClub members receive a card that can be swiped for each purchase so points accrue automatically into their account. Once 500 points have been collected, a certificate is mailed out for a 50%-off round of golf. At the 1,000 point mark, a free round of golf certificate is automatically mailed. Members earn 50 points for each 9-hole or twilight round, 100 points for each 18-hole round and one point per dollar spent on qualifying golf shop and food and beverage purchases. Upon registration each CrownClub member also receives a special “Instant Reward,” a two-for-one golf certificate.
